I wanted to do some small projects with my brand new table saw before writing a review.
This table saw is exactly what I was looking for. Fortunately, after countless comparisons, reviews and YouTube videos, I finally decided to buy this one.
The table saw is small and light, which is very important to me. For someone with little storage space like me, that's a plus. I can easily lift it into the provided rack or take it with me without difficulty (for work on the scouts).
Because it is so small and light, it naturally has a smaller worktop than the average table saw. A compromise I had to make.
The worktop is flat and that was very important to me. Most table saws consist of different (extendable) parts that in practice usually do not line up nicely. In my opinion, that makes precision work unnecessarily more difficult. This worktop, on the other hand, consists of 1 piece, which makes it nice and flat and you don't have to worry about that.
Adjusting the parallel guide is particularly easy. When I installed it, I checked once whether the distance with the saw blade was correct and adjusted it. From then on, every cut was perfectly at the desired distance. The guide is also very easy to adjust to the desired length with the rotary knob. If you don't need the parallel guide for a while, it clicks off at 1, 2, 3, handy!
Like almost any table saw, the supplied miter saw is substandard. First of all, there is quite a lot of play on the guide in the rail, but almost every brand seems to suffer from this. On the other hand, the protractor is difficult to read and adjust. In addition, due to the play of the rail, the protractor is not very precise.
I took the riving knife off almost immediately. Unfortunately, this extends above the saw blade, which makes it impossible to cut blind grooves with it.
As the very first project I made a table saw carriage, to make sawing even easier. Making repeated cuts is therefore a real convenience. I would say get inspired by YouTube!
It is recommended to buy a saw blade with more teeth than the supplied saw blade. For precision work, one with more teeth is really needed.
