According to our camera lens expert
Your subject won't be startled, thanks to the silent autofocus motor.
The lens coating prevents lens errors and enhances image quality.
There is no image stabilization in the lens to compensate for vibrations.
The Sigma 30mm f/2.8 DN Art Sony E-mount is a standard lens suitable for Sony system cameras with an E-mount. The lens can be used for photographing portraits, landscapes, architecture, nature, and animals. This way, you won't have to drag other lenses with you on vacation. The lens has a quiet and fast autofocus motor. With this, you can photograph deer and foxes silently, so they're not frightened by the sound. The Sigma lens has a multi-coating, which increases the image quality of the photos.
Switched from DSLR to system camera. I was looking for a matching prime lens for my Sony a6000. Instead of the Sony 35 mm f1.8 oss, which is more expensive, we opted for this Sigma, with a slightly larger angle. I did not miss the lack of stabilization. I think it's a very sharp lens, at all aperture values. It is also nice and handy, fits well on the body. Comes neatly with bag and lens hood, although I haven't noticed anything about flaring yet. The only downside is the focus ring, which is completely smooth. That looks nice, but I personally think it gives a little less feel.

Fine lens. Nicely compact and feels solid. Have had the lens for 2 weeks now and the pictures are good quality. The lack of OSS is not really a loss.

After a top service from Coolblue, the lens arrived at my home the day after ordering. Everything was in decent packaging, the lens itself comes in a handy carrying bag that you have to buy separately with other lenses. The build of the lens is very good for the price. The quality of the photos is superb.
Because this is not a zoom lens, you have to move a little more yourself to find the right point of view, ideal for people who want to lose weight.
My camera (Sony NEX 3) gets a lot of added value with this lens.
The only downside is that the focus ring could have some relief for more grip.
