According to our processor expert
The AMD FX-6300 Black Edition is a processor from the FX series. The processor has 6-Core technology, an 8MB cache, and an unlocked multiplier. In addition, it has a clock speed of 3.5GHz, which you can raise up to 4.1GHz during demanding tasks. This makes the AMD FX-6300 Black Edition very suitable for entertainment computers and multitasking.

First some boring facts: -this six-core FX-6300 is on average 31.6% faster than a Core i3 3220. In multi-threaded benchmarks, differences of well over 50% are not uncommon. 6 versus 2 cores: you notice that. -Intel still makes the fastest processors in the world and AMD still doesn't come close. But for those who still want to work with a separate video card, AMD offers an excellent price / performance ratio with the new FX chips.
The findings: I am still coming from an intel e5300 dual core and the difference in speed with this fx-6300 is fantastic. This is built into an asrock 990fx extreme 3 motherboard (bought the bundle with cpu, motherboard and ram and is more than worth the money) (miss, there is still a bundle with video card for the laymen :) )
The price/performance ratio of the FX-6300 can therefore not be faulted at all. In fact; it is even particularly good. Because of intel (I've always had intel) this is just ridiculously little money for a very strong CPU. if you look that you have an Intel Core i3 3240 for the same price and then to the benchmarks you immediately see the difference, this CPU runs smoothly with Intel i5 CPUs in a price range that is 2x higher than its own.
An advantage over Intel is that all FX processors are further unlocked. Now the overclocking potential is not exactly earth-shattering because of the already very high standard clock frequency of 3.5hrz, but whoever wants to overclock is in any case not hindered. (I'm not going to do this)
All in all, FX-6300 is not a bad choice at all for those who are going to work with a separate video card. Don't forget: with Intel in such a case you are actually paying for an integrated GPU that you are not going to use. so you do need a separate video card for this cpu but most of us use a separate card anyway (I have put it in the negatives but actually I don't consider it that way for me, but for people who are not going to use a separate card they look best to something else)
the only thing that really bothered me and what is really a big minus is the cooler. it does its job well and keeps the processor cool but how... like there is an airplane in the pc that really makes a disturbing noise.
I also bought another cooler (Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo 27.95 €) and this solved the problem. however, then you have to calculate that your cpu will not cost 104 but +- €131 because it is still a low price

Value for money AMD has always had excellent processors. This one from the FX series also performs excellently, in combination with my ASUS Sabertooth 990FX and 16 GB of memory. If you take a comparable processor from the Intel series, you will soon pay at least double. Intel's architecture is a bit faster, but you only notice that on the benchmarks. As a user, you hardly notice this, only perhaps during heavy applications such as video editing. For daily multimedia use and games, the AMD-FX is more than fine. And if you're not going to overclock, the standard cooler is also sufficient. I can go on with this for a while.

Compared to my old processor an amd athlon 2 quad core with 3ghz, this is really a beast of a processor.
It works great with the games battlefield 3 and 4, NFS rivals and gta IV with my xfx HD7970 3gb double dissipation. And with the overclocking capabilities you can get it up to 4.0ghz yourself, but then you need a better processor cooler.
Other than that, no problems at all
