Weber Go-Anywhere Charcoal

It goes with every car. Don't use a lot of briquettes good airflow and quality my size has had these for a few decades.

It really strikes me how good the choice of materials is at Weber. Strong stuff, but the weight also increases as a result. I also like the shape: takes up less space than a round when stored, the surface remains the same. You can also easily create different zones.

After receiving and putting together the bbq, it was time to burn it in and use it. The first batch of burgers (with grilled onion and peppers, from the same grill) were immediately successful.

What immediately struck me about the go anywhere was that both the barbecue itself and the grilles are made of sturdier material than many cheaper barbecues. This grill doesn't feel like it's made of tin, and the grids don't bend when you push a little harder when scrubbing.

The next day the go anywhere was used to smoke lamb ribs. Only 12 briquettes were needed to make it soft and tender in 5 hours.

The rectangular grill surface lends itself very well to indirect heat, which is very well adjustable with the air slides on top of the lid. These slides also close well, an hour after closing the slides (with a large amount of burning coals in the grill) the grill had cooled down completely. This is a nice feature for a grill that you want to take to the park.

This barbecue (given its size) is less suitable for grilling for groups larger than 5 to 6 people. But if you sit quietly in the park and only on direct heat (entire bottom covered with coals) grill room, you can stretch this to 8 people.
