According to our camera lens expert
The Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro Canon is specially designed for cameras with an APS-C image sensor. From wide-angle to telephoto, this lens can do it all. With the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD, you can even take macro photos thanks to the short 39cm focal distance. The autofocus motor is fast and silent. Thanks to the image stabilization, you're also less bothered by motion blur. The lens has different coatings and special lens elements for optimal sharpness and contrast.

I tested this lens against the CANON EF 28-300mm, (f 3.5-5.6) on tripod, at the same focal lengths, same shutter speed, etc. The results of the original CANON lens are visibly better, but once sharpened in photoshop, the TAMRON images approach the same quality. But..... the Tamron lens weighs 540 grams compared to the 1.8 kg of the CANON lens, and the latter also costs more than three times the price of the Tamron lens. The 16 mm focal length of the Tamron (compared to the 28 mm of the Canon) is a significant plus. As a CANON freak I hate to admit it, but this TAMRON lens is a very good and price-conscious alternative to the heavy and expensive CANON lens.

Have had the lens in my possession for 3 days now, and I like it very much. Both for macro or for action photos. In the beginning you have to be careful, you have to turn the lens to the right to zoom in with canon lenses that is to links toe.dat does require getting used to action photos.

The lens fully meets my expectations. She is sufficiently wide-angle and at the same time zoom. The stabilizer is perfect. highly recommended.
