Easy to connect, I have no knowledge of electronics, but I am an IT professional and therefore technical.
Installation in my Lexus was very simple, hiding cables did not cause any problems. Setup was (for me) clear.
The disadvantage is that they advertise by default that you have to put the wires around a fuse leg. That is a sloppy way, because fuses serve to burn if a device causes an overload, this does not happen if the BlackVue would cause a short circuit. I have therefore placed a fuse tap in the fuse box (this is just a cable that splits the original fuse and the cabling to the BlackVue with its own fuse). See an attached photo, you'll understand what I mean.
You can get a fuse tap at an auto parts store. The fuse tap is just a cable with a fuse attached. That goes in your fuse box, you put the original fuse in slot 1 of the tap and in slot 2 a fuse that you want to use for the BlackVue. On the other side of the tap you put the wire to the BlackVue Pro, then you can press the tap with pliers so that the cable of the blackvue is stuck in it (possibly a piece of duck tape around it). Fuse taps are therefore just a kind of junction boxes in the form of a cable. Paid 6 euros each, it was better if they had just been there.
Coolblue may be able to supply them (at an additional cost) to complete the installation.
