Nice holiday lens for my D90. I had an old Nikon 70-300 with some mediocre lenses. My 18-105 is a pleasant lens, but a bit too limited range for safari. Knowing that Coolblue is not difficult about returning, I bought it and looked critically. No regrets. No disturbing distortion (the old 70-300 though) lens, not too heavy and barely larger than the 18-105.
