According to our construction vacuum expert
The construction vacuum can vacuum both wet and dry dirt.
With the blower function, you can easily remove dirt from hard-to-reach corners.
Using the integrated power socket, you can easily connect electric tools.
At 4 meters, the cord is quite short
Fine dust, coarse dirt, liquids; it all disappears in the Kärcher WD 3 P construction vacuum. Because of the special cartridge filter, you can vacuum wet and dry dirt without having to change filters between vacuum jobs. Ideal for jobs in and around the house. With a 17L tank, you can keep going for some time before you have to empty it. Another very useful thing is the socket switch and the adapter for your power tool. This ensures that the WD 3 P will automatically switch on as soon as you switch on the drill, jigsaw, or other tools. That way, you can just keep going without any fuss and you can keep your workplace clean.

I bought this product together with a crosscut saw Metabo, type KGS305M to be used to lay a laminate floor in the nursery (which has to be finished...). The vacuum cleaner comes with an intermediate piece to make a connection with tools, but it does not fit the Metabo crosscut saw. Out of curiosity I then started testing on a few other tools: Bosch router, Festool plunge-cut saw, Black&Decker pendulum saw, Bosch saw table,... and only the Bosch machines fit the piece more or less, but here too you eventually have to work with duct tape to maintain a clutch the moment you start using the machine. So you can connect it to tools, provided some tape. I will sometimes look for some flexible seals to make a slightly smoother clutch.
The socket works perfectly against this, you plug in your tools and the moment you switch on the device, the vacuum cleaner also turns on. This will continue to work until 5 seconds after you have turned off the connected device.
It is also ideal for vacuuming the screed and chunks of stone dust. However, the build quality of the two pieces of tube that you slide together is nothing to write home about, if something is going to break, this is the first.
Although there are people here who say that not everything can be put away at once, this is possible: -the (short) power cord can be hung coiled on the hook -the two tubes can each be on one side -the tool for tool coupling and the baseboard vacuum can be placed on the back of the two holes
The noise is not huge, but very well present .... For the house I still have a Miele Totalcare and it is a relief if you use the Miele after this Karcher. I also had a Nilfisk, which in my opinion was even noisier than this Karcher.
I haven't used it without a bag yet. Only with bag and they are bizarre big. However, only half usable, because the other half does not fold open or something in the drum and when the bag was half full, you immediately felt the loss of power and I had to change. You will also notice that this is a budget device. With the Miele the bags have a built-in closure, the moment you disconnect the bag, the opening closes, with the Karcher it just remains a hole so if you don't throw it carefully in the container, all your dust will fly out again.
The cord is 4m, which is terribly short. Then they would have been better off using the system of a lawnmower that you had to connect a cable anyway... You have to take out an extension cord for tools anyway, but vacuuming the cars in the garage, for example, is perfect with the Miele, plug in the socket and you can go on the two parking spaces at the cars, so not here, you really need an extension cord for everything. Fortunately, the hook is sufficiently large, so a 10m cable is now included as standard.
All in all, for which I bought it, occasionally use it with tools and now it is also good for the cars. It is noisy, the handle is not the strongest and the bags are only half usable, but you can't expect top quality for this price. What he does do and was important to me is suck well, that he makes some extra noise with tools, if not, then I work with hearing protection anyway, so this is not that bad. And with the car he is outside and I am still in the car. My father asked me if this was a must to buy from his tools and my answer is "Yes, provided you take into account that you have to tinker the couplings yourself...". So highly recommended for its price and suction power.

After the vacuum cleaner was delivered, it was immediately put to the test. I am doing renovation work and have already used the vacuum cleaner for, among other things, stone dust, stone dust, all kinds of wood chips and crumbled plasterboard pieces. I did remove the dust bag from the device for these works. The vacuum cleaner has withstood this tough job with flying colors. Did you have to thoroughly clean the cartridge filter afterwards? The socket with automatic on and off function is also a must for every do-it-yourselfer!
Between renovations, my wife also uses the vacuum cleaner for regular household chores and the device is surprisingly light and manoeuvrable. It is therefore also very suitable as a replacement for a regular canister vacuum cleaner.

Fantastic device, first used to empty the remaining pool and now it is busy vacuuming debris during our renovation. Everything that fits through the tube goes in. Super!!! Unfortunately before that messed up a Miele vacuum cleaner, if only I had known that sooner.
