I've owned the Lacie Rugged Thunderbolt 2 TB for a while now. I've been using this hard drive for a few weeks now and I really like it.

The material that this hard drive is made of is very robust. Splash-proof and well protected against dust. If you work in environments where sometimes a beating can be expected, this is ideal!

I use this hard drive for all kinds of things. Music, movies, documents you name it! I myself take a lot of photos with a DSLR, all these photos I edit from the hard disk. You don't even notice that your photos are on the hard drive, loading is so fast! Copying is also very fast thanks to the thunderbolt connection. I myself use a Macbook so thunderbolt is perfect. For other PCs, the alternative USB 3.0 connection is very handy and also super fast.

Would I recommend this? Yes! But only if you think your hard drive should be well protected and fast in transfer. For lower prices, you also have a hard drive with 2 TB storage. But never as robust and fast as this one.
