According to our fryer expert
Thanks to the cold zone, oil lasts longer and you don't have to replace it as often.
You can collapse the handle of the fryer basket, so you can easily store your deep fryer.
In this deep fryer, you can easily prepare fries for 3 to 4 people at the same time.
You'll have more cooking odors, because the deep fryer doesn't have a odor filter.
The lid is only suitable for storing the deep fryer, so not for while you fry.
When you use the Fritel Turbo 4551 5L to prepare your fries and snacks, the whole family can join in. This fryer can fry up to 2kg of fries at once, which means it has plenty of room to serve fried snacks at your birthday party. Thanks to the Turbo SF technology in this deep fryer, you make your fries healthier, quicker, and more economically. You can also fry with solid fats in this deep fryer. That's because it has a special setting for melting solid fat. The cold zone of the fryer filters frying crumbs to the bottom of the basket, so you won't have to replace your frying fat or oil as quickly. After use, you can safely pick up the fryer thanks to the heat-resistant handles. You can disassemble the individual parts, which are all dishwasher-safe.

Durability
-Specific recess to empty the tub is not provided; recess heating element is not more practical than corner. However, if you pour smoothly into, for example, a large measuring cup of 2 liters, it is no problem.
-Note: if you attach great importance to containers with lids, then you may want to look for more expensive models; usually also has anti-fog function? In other words, if you use 100% cooking oil with anti-foaming agent, there is no problem. For example, if you mix oil with oil/coconut that does not contain an anti-foaming agent, you will get a foam head that does not overflow without using the lid, BUT it does if you use the lid!! The foam formed, under the influence of back pressure on the lid, then overflows via the heating element, downwards along the heating unit. However, this does not entail any (electrical) danger, only a puddle of oil under the device and a greasy heating unit. -If you have a good hood, you can also bake without a lid, there may be a splash on the display, but it's not that bad, just wipe it with kitchen roll. -Cleaning the tub is very easy, just wipe it out and put it in the dishwasher. -Hardest is the heating element exposed in oil, although common weak point of cold zone fryers. It does depend on how thermostat is attached. To clean all dirt residues you should in theory disconnect the thermostat and cables. Another downside with a naked heating element is that oil quickly forms a brown film on the heating element. Is very difficult to remove with normal soapy water, even with soda soap it hardly works. Next time I'll try my BioMix 7in1 or pure Feem super degreaser (with high molecular weight), if that doesn't work either I have to buy Fritel degreaser, although at first sight/smell a similar product.

I didn't buy this fryer for myself, but I have already used it... it's handy that you can fry fries and something else at the same time and in separate baskets. If you always use the same side when baking croquettes, some will be "stained" with crumbs. If you have to bake less, you can also use only 1 side... super handy!
