I bought this lens to complement the kit lens (18-55) and my 50mm. I was looking for something to capture everyday things easily and quickly and I preferred a lens with a fixed focal length. 24mm is perfect for crop sensor cameras because this roughly corresponds to 35mm on full frame. In the meantime I have been able to test the lens extensively and I am very satisfied with it. For portraits I stay true to my 50mm, but this lens remains standard on my camera for everything else.
