You can connect an extra VGA monitor to your MacBook (Pro) or iMac's USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 input with the Apple USB-C to VGA adapter. An extra screen gives you that little extra screen space. Many projectors also have a VGA input, which makes this cable convenient if you often give presentations, and want to connect your MacBook.
Note: not suitable for Apple MacBook Pro 15" Retina (2015) (without Touch Bar).
