According to our radio expert
The digital DAB+ tuner ensures a noise-free radio signal
The device has no integrated speaker, so it can only be used with earbuds or external speakers.
With the Sangean DPR-39, you can listen to the radio anywhere in noise-free quality. This pocket radio has to be used in combination with headphones or external speakers. A set of earbuds is included with the device by default. The radio has a built-in DAB+ tuner that allows you to receive a digital radio signal. You can listen to your favorite radio stations in CD quality. You can easily switch between your various channels with the 5 presets. When you're on the go, you can lock the keys, so you don't accidentally change channels or adjust the volume.
The radio is a great device, but in an area with no reception, the radio eats power In any case, the radio is not economical with power Most channels can be received well, but poor reception of radio 538 in the east of the country, also with ether reception

Excellent reception of FM. DAB depends on the station, moderate. When I cycle, it may just be that when I take a different direction, the signal is lost. In a built environment often interruption in the signal. Possibilities fine, but oh my, what a battery guzzler it is.

I wanted this to be able to listen to FM and DAB with headphones and to hang from a speaker. If you use earphones other than the supplied ones, the sound is excellent, even if you hang it on a speaker or amplifier. The menu is unfortunately far too complicated, for example to set the sleep timer you have to click a lot. DAB reception is not exceptional, but I can't compare it well because the reception in my region is limited anyway. The FM reception is very good. The thing uses too many batteries. Ok for occasional use.
