I previously had an IPL device, a cheap Philips Lumea, with only 100,000 flashes. I was very satisfied with the result with IPL: the hair growth (I used it for almost everything: bikini line, face, legs, armpits) decreased drastically and the hairs that did come back were thinner / less visible. I was without a device for several months after the 100,000 flashes were used up. The hairs were slowly coming back during that period. I decided to buy a more expensive device this time with a lot more flashes so that I can hopefully last for years. I chose the Silk 'n Infinity because of the price in relation to the number of flashes. I also prefer a cord and not rechargeable (risk that the battery might fail before the flashes run out). The treatment area is unfortunately only 3cm2, but the 4cm2 devices I found either too expensive or they were not suitable for all skin types/hair color/body parts.
