Nice product if your laptop supports it.

Works as expected straight out of the box
Laptop must support DP Alt Mode.

At the very bottom of the StarTech website, it says, "Your USB-C equipped host laptop must support video (DP Alt Mode) in order to work with this adapter." Unfortunately my private laptop doesn't support DP Alt Mode and I can't use this adapter for video.

I was able to test it with my work laptop and it works there without any problems. You can only use 1 of the video 2 video ports at the same time, when you plug in a VGA plug, the HDMI port is blocked. I have a VGA plug where the sides are cut off (it once had to go through a wall), with this I can connect two monitors and this just works.
