I had bought a second-hand one from a competitor, which eventually turned out to be defective.
Last-Minute bought a new one at Coolblue which was delivered the same evening. Top service!
I quickly tested the device and installed the app.
The WD Mypassport provides a WiFi signal to which you can connect your phone or other electronic product.
With the app and the WiFi connected, the files can be read which are transferred to the My passport via the SD card. Overwriting is easy.
WD is turned on. Wait until the blue lights stop flashing and the wifi continues to show a blue color (in the previous one, all lights flashed constantly as a signal of a defect).
The phone or other product can connect, but this can also be done later. The SD card is inserted into the WD and the lights above begin to blink 1 by 1 until all 4 lights emit a steady blue light. Each light represents a percentage of about a quarter override.
Then the SD card can be removed.
Via the app you can look, with only an active WiFi connection, what is written on the WD card. What happened to me constantly is that there was nothing on it that I had copied at that moment. Sometimes I had to disconnect again using Turn off WD. Starting up etc. takes a while again. Because of this I am starting to doubt whether this was useful to take with me and do I want to take a risk in this way?
Finally decided not to do this. Very sinful.
Much later, the files were on the app, but after much annoyance, waiting and hesitation.
In principle it is a good product but in my opinion it should be communicated better with each other. If this is spotless then it is a perfect device! Unfortunately not for now.
The WD My Passport Wireless Pro 2 TB Wifi is a sturdy, thick and easy to carry size. They also have special covers for protection.
