Fantastic picture

Really great beautiful image! You have to play it with the MiVue Manager (Windows or Mac). Then the video plays smoothly because the Mivue Manager buffers the video to a large extent first. Playing from a browser will cause the video to stutter. My PC isn't that fast anymore. The MiVue manager gives you 'real-time' (when playing) the position and route on a map, the speed, G-forces, etc. Nice piece of software. The angle of the camera is very large and the exposure excellent. I did not expect such a good real picture. Number plates and street signs are easy to read and people can be easily recognized. The dashcam switches off the screen (while recording/driving) either completely, or you only see the time and speed. You can also just watch the recording, but that is quite distracting. All this is adjustable. I have it on time/speed. So no disturbing image next to/under/behind your mirror. I have all the flash notifications on for all features. Sound set to soft/voice. Screen will automatically turn on with the notification. So sound can also be turned off because you see the screen light up anyway. The video recording starts automatically as soon as you start the car. Stopping is automatic when you switch off the engine. You can hide the 3 meter cable invisibly under the upholstery against the top of the window, along the door, under the glove compartment and towards the cigarette lighter. The dashcam is firmly fixed with the suction cup, after which the dashcam can be aimed. I pointed the camera slightly downwards (you can see the entire hood) to get a nice light balance. Otherwise, the camera will react too much to the light from the sky. You can easily remove the SD card from the bottom. You can push it out and in with a euro cent. I ordered the 32Gb SD card (Sandisk Micro SDHC) from Coolblue (under recommended combinations) because you do need a class 10 card (high writing speed is needed due to high video resolution). If you choose an incorrect SD card or a Chinese fake version, you will get a stuttering image or the dashcam will fail (given my previous experiences with another dashcam). In short, a beautiful and reliable device with a truly fantastically beautiful and sharp image. The dashcam works excellently. Whether that also applies to the other Mio Mivue 6xx dashcams, I don't know. These have a different lens and video processor than the 618. It is also useful that it displays your speed as well as the coordinates. The device is more than worth its money and has not let me down for a minute on the entire trip. The fact that I don't have the entire trip is not a problem for me because I actually just needed the device if something should occur and the video can serve as evidence at that time.
