This thing is the bad buy of the year. I had bought it because in promotional material even rough bricks were painted opaque in 1x and I have serious joint problems, and the use of a brush became too heavy for me. The fairy tale that you are presented with in the promo videos and promo images turned out to be downright misleading. The coverage was hard to find, even with following the instructions and extensive pre-treatment of the wall with primer; and of course the instructions had been followed to the letter. Clean lines like in the images are a myth unless you get down to work in photoshop. Using it with a single hand is really not an option if you don't have much strength or if you already have joint problems, that pot of paint hanging underneath makes the whole thing very heavy. In the promo materials you rarely see people using protective clothing or work clothes. Well, you can never wear the clothes you're wearing on the street after use, because those sputters fly in all directions. That's why I do recommend eye protection. Due to the large amount of paint mist that ends up in the air, you really can't use this without a decent protective dust mask. And on the videos they all play happy tunes so you can't hear this thing making more noise than an express train full of runaway vacuum cleaners; hearing protection is a must. I've just included a corrected version of one of the promo images for clarity - at least, that's considerably more in line with my experience than the original promo image. Well... I'm not quite finished yet, but I think I'll just see if I can get my money back for this thing. The old-fashioned result is in my case 10x better, I take the joint pain into the bargain. Too bad it's still taking so long to get the wall painted.

Works nicely. Make sure to tape the whole thing well, for example the floor, because mist is quite good. Also excellent equipment. Does what it's supposed to do.
