After a long hesitation between the pure evoke h4 and this tiny Joy, I decided for the latter. Mainly because of the size and the fact that I was really looking for a portable radio and the pure evoke is just a bit bigger.
This radio sounds very good for its small size and also looks great. It also feels solid and certainly does not fall over when you have it outside.
Bluetooth also works fine. Pairing with your smartphone is child's play.
It is nice that you can stream Spotify perfectly and that the buttons on the radio operate Spotify. I also wonder why you would buy an expensive internet radio, streaming from tunein works perfectly!
What is also striking is that this is a stereo radio, while most portables are mono!
The display and options in the menu are unfortunately very limited. You can't turn off the loudness and there are no options to adjust the sound.
Furthermore, dab+ works flawlessly everywhere in my house. I live in Bussum and the transmitter of most broadcasters is a few km away (Hilversum), so I can't say much about the reception.
