Tanita RD-953 Black

Work in the hospital as a technician and have compared the results with our professional equipment and this scale is astonishingly accurate. After measuring 7 times.

Tanita is a brand that also makes professional measuring devices for athletes and healthcare. The RD-953 is the flagship for the consumer market.

You may be a bit shocked by the price, but this is not a scale. It's much more. It shows you (including by means of an app) how your body is composed (fat, belly fat, muscle, fluid, BMI, BMR, etc). Even your metabolic age is measured. That's fun for some, confronting for others.

There are a lot of complaints about the companion app, but nothing bothers me. You have to follow a certain order and be patient; then it works flawlessly. The measurements differ per day (which is logical), but with several measurements in succession, the results are always the same. And that is sometimes different with a cheaper scale.

I think it's a very nice device. If your body is okay, he will tell you. If not, he also confronts you with that reality. Unfortunately, you have to work on that yourself. He won't do that for you.

A very complete scale including body scan. reasonably fast, everything measured within five seconds. Tip: first download the app and fill in your profile there, then start the scale with the app. It is also possible without an app, but then you must first create profiles on the scale.
