According to our soundbar expert
You can listen to a room-filling sound with the deep bass of the subwoofer.
When you connect the soundbar with an HDMI cable, you can control it with your TV remote.
The soundbar has both an HDMI and optical connector to connect the soundbar to the TV.
You can't connect the soundbar to your smartphone or speakers via WiFi.
The JBL Bar 3.1 can fill any and all living rooms with your favorite movie soundtrack. This 3.1-channel soundbar and subwoofer have a total power output of 450 watts, which allows for clear, powerful sound reproduction. The JBL Surround Sound and Dolby Digital technologies give an extra-spacious feel to movie soundtracks. The soundbar was designed with a center channel for voices and sound effects, which means you'll be able to understand the dialogue in even the most thrilling of scenes, loud and clear. Do you want to listen to music? Simply use Bluetooth to connect a smartphone or tablet to the soundbar. This'll allow you to enjoy your favorite songs wirelessly. The soundbar is compatible with most modern remote controls, which means you'll only need 1 remote control for your TV and soundbar.
Connecting the JBL Bar 3.1 Soundbar to your TV
Use the included HDMI cable to connect your soundbar to your television.
Happy with the JBL Bar 3.1 from moment one. I hesitated between this and the 5.1, but the separate speakers are really only for the high sounds and therefore do not work completely as a separate speaker. It is a pity that sometimes the connection with the subwoofer is lost. But with the manual you have the bass up and running again.

Connecting took a while before everything went smoothly, but after it was successful you also have a really great soundbar with subwoofer!

I like the JBL bar very much. The soundbar is suspended under the TV using a soundbar bracket (under the TV bracket). The sound from the soundbar is good. The bass of the subwoofer is very strong at the factory setting (it is recommended to turn it down a bit).
