According to our earbuds expert
The Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay E8 earbuds are completely wireless. This way, cables won't get in the way and you'll have freedom of movement. The earbuds use Bluetooth and last for up to 4 hours on 1 battery charge. The portable charger allows you to fully charge your earbuds 2 times. You can control your music with the buttons on the earbuds' touchpad. By tapping 1 time, for instance, you can accept incoming calls or pause your music. A set of 4 sleeve sizes is included. If you use the right size, the earbuds won't fall out of your ears.
Note: please make sure to always download the latest software update of the app to prevent problems and to ensure you're getting the most out of the earbuds.Type of ear cushions | In-ear | |

I had been looking for wireless earbuds for a while and read significant drawbacks with each set. It was still pretty much in its infancy for everyone and not a single set aroused enough confidence in me to buy it. I have an iPhone, but the Airpods fell off for me right away, due to the fact that they don't stay in my ears at all. Family members have them and we agreed that the B&O Beoplay earbuds have better quality sound than the Airpods (and although we were familiar with the quality of B&O there was certainly no prejudice against Apple).
In the end, my choice was between Jabra Elite Sport and this B&O Beoplay E8. The reason I bought these is because there are touch controls on these earbuds and on the Jabras you have to press small buttons (it takes a lot more precision and you keep pressing the earbud against your ear).
There is room for improvement regarding the transparency mode. There are 3 modes:
With the last setting it would be nice if the music would be paused automatically. However, you turn on the transparency mode by touching your left earbud once and you can pause the music by touching your right earbud once. Definitely not a real "problem".
A second point for improvement would be if the space for the earplugs in the box were slightly larger. With silicone sleeves they are perfectly drawn into the box by the magnet (works really perfectly). With the foam sleeves on, I notice that they just touch the bottom slightly, making that a little less easy. They fit in just fine, but sometimes I have to press them a little bit. No point for me. They fit well enough that the magnet still has its desired effect.
These earplugs sound fantastic, there is a kind of equalizer that allows you to adjust the sound to your preference, they sit very well (with both the silicone and the foam sleeves they stay in place) and close external noises well enough for me. If you turn on the transparency mode, you can still hear your surroundings without having to take out the earplugs (also in 3 different positions). I use this every day to alternate between communicating with my family and completely shutting myself off when I'm working remotely from my living room. Goes perfect!
After this long search I finally came across these earplugs, I am extremely happy with them, use them every day and am pretty sure I made the right decision!

It's not a collection yet, but I already have a few earphones and headphones. Bose Qc25, QC35, Shure Se215 and Se846, David Clark's headset, Phonak, Apple AirPods, old Grado RS1 etc. Actually, I had envisioned the Apple AirPods as everyday earbuds. Easy, rechargeable, wireless. One problem: they don't stay put. They also do not exclude my colleagues as efficiently as hoped. Until my colleague showed up with B&O's Beoplay E8 wireless earbuds. With the silicone or Comply foam caps you can always make a suitable closure. A feature I find very useful is one soft tap on the left earbud, which activates Transparency mode, allowing you to hear the world around you through the built-in microphones. The sound is very nice, as you would expect from B&O. Disadvantages are the price and if you want to switch between your iPhone and iPad, that is more difficult than with the AirPods. Another weird thing is that my left earbud sometimes doesn't make any sound for 1/10 of a second. Just a kind of hiccup, quite annoying. But hopefully that will be fixed with the next software update.

I have tried many earphones and also spent a lot of money on them. THE quality of the sound was always an issue. Until now. The B&O E8 are great! The sound is good in the base, but in the app it is very easy to adjust to your own preferences.
