Since we Apple users are so often involved with displayport and perhaps also HDMI, we sometimes dare to forget that this is not standard everywhere. Yes, there is still a lot of work with VGA connections, which was also the reason for this purchase. Because I give lectures and presentations here and there, it is handy to have a VGA adapter in your pocket. As a bonus, I can charge my Macbook or connect an HD at the same time. Works seamlessly with the Mac, just a real shame about the price.

According to our cable converter expert
With this adapter, you can convert the USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) input of your suitable Apple device into a 'standard' USB-A input to connect all your older peripherals.
You can connect your suitable Apple device to a beamer, TV, or external display.
The Apple Lightning cable in this package is 1m, this gives you more room to move than the standard included cable with your iPhone or iPad.
The USB-C input of the Apple USB-C to Digital AV Adapter is only suitable for charging your device.
To connect your device to an HDMI input, purchase a separate HDMI cable
With the Apple USB Essential Kit, you can expand the number of connectors on your iPad, MacBook, iMac, Mac Mini, Mac, or Mac Studio. You can easily connect a screen, monitor, or projector to your suitable Apple device via the HDMI input. Thanks to the USB-A input, you can also connect devices which still work with an older USB cable. That way, you can still connect your mouse, keyboard, scanner, or other device to your Apple device.
The Apple USB-C to Digital AV Adapter, USB-C to USB-A adapter, and Apple Lightning to USB-A cable are original Apple accessories.
