Charles is a loyal cleaner and always starts his working day at 11:00 when we are (usually) out of the house. By the time we get back he has usually found everything on the floor.
The reason for our interest in a vacuum cleaner robot is due to our pets that make a mess around their cage (birds) on a daily basis and the fact that we no longer feel like vacuuming there every day.
About the test, I tested it on tile, laminate, short carpet and deep pile carpet. What he had to clean up was: dust (you'll be amazed how much he finds under closets, couches and beds), bird seed, coconut fiber, feathers and other random junk.
The robot works great on tiles, laminate and short carpet! On longer carpet a little less because I think it sinks into it a bit. He sees objects approaching by means of his sensors, he also brakes in time for them and does not collide with them violently. It takes corners well and gets to places where you normally don't vacuum.
The robot is on every day with us and every now and then I give him an extra assignment via the app (why not, there is no minimum wage for robots yet). He gets into corners well with his brushes, but he also pulls hair out of carpet! So this is probably useful for people with cats/dogs.
Whether a robot vacuum cleaner does a better job than you do? No, most likely not. And if you would like to use the robot for a certain spot that you just need to clean, it is more convenient to just stick with a normal vacuum cleaner. The robot vacuum cleaner is therefore used differently than a normal vacuum cleaner. If you set it to always work when you are not at home, it saves time and is very pleasant. You will certainly find something in his dust bucket every day (you don't have to empty the bucket every day).
All in all I can say that such a robot vacuum cleaner works very well in our situation! The robot works well and is easy to use. I am personally also positively surprised by the result that is delivered.
I'm glad I was able to test this product and will definitely buy one after the period.
