According to our smart light expert
With the smart Hue outdoor lights, you can expand your Philips Hue collection indoors.
You can easily control the Hue outdoor lights via the Hue app, wherever you are.
The Hue fixture has an E27 fitting, so you'll have a lot of choice when you need to replace it.
The Philips Hue Bridge isn't included by default.
Expand your Philips Hue collection outdoors with the Philips Hue Lucca Pedestal Lamp High Outdoor. You can connect the outdoor lamp to the Hue Bridge and control it via the iOS or Android app, just like your other Hue lights. You can dim the light, turn it off and on remotely, or have it turn on gradually at sunset. The app also has geofencing, so the light automatically turns on when you come home and off when you leave the house. Note: the required bridge isn't included. The fixture of the lamp is made of aluminum, so it's rustproof.
Note: this Philips Hue outdoor lighting only works in combination with a bridge.
In connection with the construction of our garden, purchased Hue lighting for the first time for outside. Besides a Calla pedestal and 6 Lilly's I bought two of these Lucca lamps for our extension. They fit nicely with the whole. For me for the first time Hue lamps, connecting to the bridge was easy. Set without/on schedule and the bridge takes care of it.
I am very curious about the end result when the other lamps are also included in the garden.

Received the lamp neatly yesterday via Coolbleu and today the assembly and test of this outdoor lamp. It is a nice design, but after opening the lamp, the lamp fitting, the terminal block and the plastic case look very cheap (Chinese?). It also appears that there are no pre-drilled holes for mounting on the wall and there are no small 'legs' on the back. An outside wall is never straight and when you tighten your screws, the plastic box bends quickly. No screws, plugs or sealing washers are supplied for mounting, so the holes you have to drill yourself may not be 100% waterproof. The cable entry is only at the rear, so you are obliged to mount a cable through the wall. So I had to let go of my 220 volt cable on the wall (see photo). The rubber for sealing the cable is good and closes neatly watertight. It's ridiculous to use 2mm Torx screws for outdoor mounting. These are so small that if you drop one, you will never find it again. There are tiny sealing rings and a Torx angled key. I have sealed the lamp at the top and sides along the wall as a preventative measure with transparent silicone sealant to ensure that no moisture can get into the lamp. I also sealed the screw on the top. The lamp is flat at the top and snow may remain on it in the winter, which will run over the lamp if it melts. Note that the underside of the white plastic cover has a small hole to allow moisture or heat to escape from the lamp. If this hole is at the top, the shade is upside down, and the lamp is certainly full of water. The lamp can be neatly connected to the Philips HUE hub, and can also be used via home automation controllers such as a Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa or an Athom Homey.

Beautiful stylish lamp, with a good light emission. Automatic operation with HUE bridge is very nice. Mounting with a base plate is quite specific and may be a challenge when replacing existing lamps. A lot with me in the end.
