We have been using the Luvion Grand Elite 3 Connect for half a year now and these are our experiences:

out of the box the baby monitor actually works straight away and has functioned for some time.
The camera has day and night view. Image quality is adequate, but certainly not HD (max 2 mp)
The camera has a temperature sensor that indicates incorrect temperature display
The camera has a speaker with which you can talk back to a crying baby via monitor and app: this sounds downright scary.
Monitor has a battery (lasts about an evening), only works on a DECT radio) signal and not via WiFi.
Definitely not enough to bridge a floor. Let alone something like taking the monitor into the garden. That makes it all the more annoying that the monitor only works with DECT and does not have its own WiFi receiver, which could solve range problems.
The monitor has a resistive screen (instead of capacitive) so you have to press really well for contact.
The connection between monitor and camera often drops. Not only because of poor range, but also on the same floor if there is only a few meters between the baby and master bedroom.
