The Samsung 970 Evo PLUS 500GB is an internal NVMe SSD that is suitable for very demanding users. With ultra-fast read speeds of 3500 MB / s and write speeds of 3300 MB / s, you can process your data in seconds. With this SSD your laptop starts up in less than 15 seconds. Moreover, with this SSD you can go for years, thanks to a TBW of 300. Because of the 256-bit AES encryption your data is protected. Via the Samsung Magician software you update the firmware of the SSD and manage the performance.

This SSD is 80 millimeters long. Do you want to use this M.2 internal SSD? First check whether your motherboard supports this length. If this is not the case, the SSD will not fit and you will not be able to install it.

"The safe bet. Very good and reliable but more expensive"

Andrei | 22 July 2020 | Total storage capacity: 1 TB

  • Pros:
    Fast
  • Pros:
    Easy to install
  • Con:
    More expensive than competitors

Because it's a safe bet. It's more expensive than the competition at a similar performance level but it's reliable and if I recommend it to a client I'm sure that they'll be satisfied.

"Absurdly fast and tiny"

Tobi Smethurst | 3 July 2019 | Total storage capacity: 1 TB

  • Pros:
    Ludicrously fast
  • Pros:
    Nice-lookin'
  • Con:
Makes my other SDD look like hot garbage
  • Con:
Loading times are too short--can no longer go make a cup of tea

It's absolutely wild how fast this thing goes, not just compared to a standard HDD but even compared to a SATA SSD (another Samsung). My PC now boots in seconds and my loading times no longer afford me the opportunity to go make a cup of tea or check my phone.
