Pros and cons

According to our fan expert
  • You can easily operate the fan with the included remote.
  • With the natural wind mode, the fan switches between different blowing speeds, so that it resembles the wind outside.
  • Thanks to the timer, you can set the fan so it stops blowing after a certain time.
  • The screen isn't dimmable, so you may be bothered by the light at night.

Description

The Duux Whisper White is a standing fan with a range of about 15 meters, which you can simply switch on from the couch thanks to the remote control. The Duux can be set entirely to your own preferences. This way you not only let the fan run from left to right, but also from top to bottom. With a choice of 26 positions you will always find the right wind power. And because it is adjustable in height between 73 and 95 centimeters, you place it on the floor, a table or the window sill. Use the timer to let a cool breeze blow through the bedroom while you sleep.

Quiet fan that cools well

  • very quiet
  • Build quality
  • Edit

I was looking for a quiet fan for the bedroom and with this Duux I found it. With this I could end this review but go into this device a little further. - Edit This one is not difficult but did take some puzzling. The manual has very small pictures and is not very clear. It is easy to do with videos on the Duux site. - Build quality and design Once put together you have a sturdy device. Nothing that creaks or squeaks. It has a sturdy, handy handle. The cord of almost 2.5 meters is nice and long. I personally think the design in high-gloss white and matte black is very successful. - Cooling capacity A fan must ultimately cool well and this Duux does that. It has 26 settings and that seems a bit overkill, but that way you can very precisely control how much noise you want and that is what makes this fan so interesting. On the lowest settings you have a pleasant, light airflow, but you don't hear it with 13 dB and on the highest setting you just about blow away. In addition, it produces 50 dB, but many fans already produce that at the lowest setting. The device therefore cools well. With a maximum height of 95 cm, it is not a real stand fan, but at this height you can sit comfortably in the airflow on the couch. If you don't like that, you can also have your fan blow up. Of course, the fan can rotate from left to right, but also up and down. This allows you to properly distribute the cool air throughout the room. - Ease of use You can control the fan with a rotary knob, but I find the remote control more convenient. You have to point this right at the button otherwise it won't work. The remote control is small but the buttons are nice. Conclusion: With the Duux you get a more than excellent fan at home. Admittedly, the price is hefty but worth it. If you can afford it and have the money for it, I can heartily recommend this fan.

Do not buy a good fan from Coolblue

  • Very quiet
  • Adjustable in height
  • Price at Coolblue much higher than elsewhere

Quiet fan that does what it's supposed to do. Compare the price with other sites Coolblue is currently 50 euros more expensive than other sellers.

A quiet refreshment...

  • Pleasant sound level
  • Up to 26 Different Modes
  • Feels a bit fragile

I chose this device mainly for the low-noise operation and the large number of positions. The fan is indeed virtually silent (in the lower settings of course) and has a sufficient flow rate to refresh well. You can easily adjust the height of the device. In the lowest position it can be used as a (large) table model. The highest setting is not very high, but sufficient. If desired, the device swings back/forth and/or up/down automatically. That way you can conveniently ventilate a large room. You cannot set the swing range. The remote control is convenient to use, but looks and feels fragile. You can store the remote control in a holder on the device. I have the impression that you have to stay fairly close to the device and the device must be within sight, otherwise it will not work very well. The manual operation requires a little more practice. Everything is done with the same control panel where you first have to select the desired function and then set the desired value... It is sometimes a bit cumbersome for frequently used functions. The manual control is also at the bottom of the foot, so you have to get on your knees to make adjustments. Give me the remote... There's a night function to completely dim the display when you're sleeping (or just don't want any distracting light). The device remains operable. In any case, the device has a beautiful and sleek design, but looks and feels fragile when mounted. As is common these days, most parts are made entirely of plastic. Wait. Assembly is easy, although I can still recommend that you take a good look at all parts and follow the assembly instructions carefully. Not all steps are equally clear, parts are not clearly marked and the drawings are quite small.

Good and beautiful fan

  • can be controlled remotely and on the swivel head on the foot
  • Height adjustable
  • Instruction booklet could be better

Works great. Only the instruction booklet is not clear enough. The height of the fan is adjustable with a button, but to be able to push the button you first have to push the head of the fan down.

Best fan ever (recommended for the bedroom)

  • 26 positions
  • quiet
  • adjustable height not high enough

Finally after years I found a fan that I can be satisfied with. I had one years ago (in the bedroom for the whole night) that I was very satisfied with, but I broke it myself during maintenance. After years of looking for a new one and never found a good one, until I found this one! It is the best fan I've seen, it is adjustable with a mini remote control, but also at the foot with a push-turn knob like the control knob in a BMW. Using it is not obvious. But I still use the remote from my bed. At night it is also very important that it is quiet, that it does not emit any light and does not make irritating beeping noises. I don't understand how some other brands can make a fan (with sleep function) with a lit screen on it that doesn't go off and thus illuminates the whole room. I also don't understand how those same (with sleep function) fans make a deafening beep with every button you press, so that your bedmate wakes up. This Duux does not do all this (it does beep but very softly) and on top of that it blows a lot quieter while it still has quite a bit of power. In the sleep mode, the screen only lights up when you do something with it and even then it doesn't give too much light. It can turn in 2 directions, automatically, and can do this to the extreme. I don't use this because I want the fan pointed at me all night (slightly above me), but yes, it does. The only drawback I think is that, although it is adjustable in height and can be made very small, it does not really hit very high. An extra 20cm would have been nice. I hope it lasts a long time, because this is a very nice device. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth it!
