Pros and cons

According to our earbuds expert
  • Thanks to the fast charging function, you can use the earbuds for 1.5 hours after charging for 10 minutes.
  • Standard foam earplugs are included, which can improve wearing comfort.
  • Noise canceling earbuds don't drown out ambient noise as much as noise-canceling headphones.
  • The earbuds aren't water-resistant, which means there's a risk of water damage after exercise.

Description

With the fully wireless design of the Sony WF-1000XM3, you can listen to music without cables. The earbuds have noise canceling, which mutes disturbing ambient sounds. With the noise canceling on, the battery lasts 6 hours. Is the battery running low? After 10 minutes of charging, you can use the earbuds again for 1.5 hours. If you want to set up a Bluetooth connection quickly, you can do that via NFC. Hold the NFC point of the charging case against the NFC point of your phone and you can stream music in seconds. With the different sizes of earbuds that are included, you can improve the carrying comfort.

Note: we recommend to keep the earbuds up-to-date with the latest software via the Sony Headphones Connect app.

"The best TWS earphones in the market in 2020."

Moshe | 4 June 2020 | Color: Black

  • Pros:
    Fantastic sound quality
  • Pros:
You can use each side as separately without dependency
  • Pros:
    Great noise cancellation
  • Pros:
    Superior battery life
  • Con:
Lasted well for 9 months, but then started to have issues and randomly turn off. Not sure if it’s a general issue or only my unit.
  • Con:
Buttons on them are useless for me, and I can never completely turn them off, the app configuration just disabled assignment, but still reacts on tap instead ignoring, as I accidentally touch them.
  • Con:
A little big and bulky case

I had my fair share of TWS earphones, expensive and cheap ones, even Sony’s previous attempt, WF-1000. The Sony WF-1000XM3 just stands in a league of their own. Even now, almost a year since they came out, they still beat the market.
