I expected a solid block for the money, where you slide the knives in instead of a hard plastic flute thing. Looks fine from a distance but a bit cheap up close.

According to our kitchen knife expert
By removing the bottom of the knife block, you can easily rinse it clean under the tap.
You store the knives easily and safely in the knife block.
The knives are dishwasher safe, making them easy to clean.
This knife set does not include a knife sharpener.
The Brabantia Tasty+ 5-piece Dark Grey knife set perfectly complements your modern kitchen, thanks to its sleek design and versatility. The knife set includes a bread knife, chef's knife, carving knife, vegetable knife, and paring knife. This ensures you have the right knife at hand for every ingredient. Always struggle to cut through a pumpkin or sweet potato? With the sharp vegetable knife, that is a thing of the past. After use, the set is easy to clean. The knives simply go in the dishwasher, and you rinse the knife block under the tap. Because you detach the bottom of the knife block, no water remains trapped between the grooves, allowing you to rinse every nook and cranny thoroughly.
