According to our Fully automatic espresso machine expert
An espresso has a fuller aroma, thanks to the P.E.P brewing method where the water runs through the coffee more slowly.
You can choose from 2 coffee specialties that you can adjust in strength, quantity, and temperature.
Maintenance takes less work compared to other fully automatic coffee machines.
With this coffee machine, you can't make milk specialties.
Without a display, the machine doesn't guide you through a menu with options while making coffee.
The Jura D4 is for you if you only like to drink black coffee. With this machine, you can make an espresso or coffee for 1 or 2 people. You can easily operate the machine with the push buttons. The coffee grinder grinds the coffee beans in the right grind size per preparation. Via the P.E.P. brewing method, the machine makes a cup of coffee. The water slowly runs through the coffee, so your espresso gets extra flavor. Like to drink a cup of tea sometimes in addition to coffee? Get hot water in no time. The machine requires less maintenance than other fully automatic coffee machines. If you replace the water filter in time, you don't need to descale it. With the automatic cleaning program, you clean the brew group once every 3 months.
Coolblue is an authorized JURA dealer, so you'll get a 25-month warranty on a coffee machine. JURA grants this warranty by repairing or replacing parts of the machine.
Little maintenance and very good sturdiness
If you use the JURA water filter and replace it on time, you don't have to descale anymore. You also won't have to take the brew group out of the machine, but rinse it with the automatic cleaning program. Durable materials and parts were used for this fully automatic coffee machine. It's a good choice if you're looking for a coffee machine that lasts you a long time.
Tip: buy the JURA Smart Connect to control the coffee machine via your tablet or smartphone.
Cleaning
Taste
Design
After 2.5 years of household use (10 cups per day) using a jura claris filter and always having performed the prescribed cleaning with jura tablets, the device is completely soiled. The coffee spout is completely clogged. The big disadvantage of Jura is that you can't do anything about it yourself, so I will have to send it in for a service of € 180. Ex shipping costs. I think this is very bad from Jura, which is still seen as a quality brand. The fact that you cannot remove the brew group or the coffee spout for cleaning yourself is a very weak point. I am very shocked by the build-up of coffee deposits (mold) in the machine even with prescribed maintenance. Also, you can't do extra cleaning in between, the device can only do a cleaning if it indicates it itself.

The machine grinds much softer than our previous one and makes delicious coffee. Is easy to set in different strengths and amount of water. All through the app.
