BLACK+DECKER BHHV520BFP-QW

Unbelievable that enormous suction with such a small mouth. The large shaft offers many possibilities. Slobbers everything without complaining.

After less than a year of ownership, it no longer works. charging with steady light but no power. seems to be a common problem with these Black & Decker who are not willing or able to offer a solution (see their website)

Coolblue's Choice is always a good reason for me to choose one device over another; This was also the case when I started looking for a handheld vacuum cleaner that could help me remove the hair of my dog and cat from the couch, among other things.

I had already read in other reviews that people thought this handheld vacuum cleaner was loud - but I actually assumed that most people always find a vacuum cleaner loud. When I picked up the device from Coolblue, I immediately pulled it through the trunk of the car to test the hair brush. It worked great and I was also pleased with the sound. But once I turned on the device indoors, I immediately noticed that I would be a nuisance to the neighbors if I wanted to use it in the evening. The worst part is that if you want to turn it off again, you first have to click past an even louder function, since the device only has one button.

The suction power of this Black & Dekker is good when the battery is full and the filter and tube are not clogged. Unfortunately, that's exactly the crux: the filter clogs very quickly, which means that the suction power quickly leaves much to be desired. The flat-designed tube of the device also clogs quickly; this is also difficult to unclog.

To empty the reservoir and filter, you must press a button near where you hang the device in the charger; extremely inconvenient because you have to pay close attention when hanging it. If you act too quickly, the button will press against the hook and the reservoir, which points downwards, will fly open and all your effort will be in vain. Quite a frustrating design. The filter also often falls out immediately when you click open the reservoir, so you can choose between holding your filter while you empty the container over your own hand or grabbing the filter from the trash can after you have emptied the reservoir.

I also think a suction mouth with brush is a huge lack of this set, for example for vacuuming tables/cabinets and the like. A small addition that would have made the device much more useful.

To end on a somewhat positive note: my sofa, chair, dog basket and the trunk of my car are hair-free and all with just one charge. For €100, I expected a lot more from a handheld vacuum.
