KitchenAid 5KSMVSA Vegetable Slicer and Grater

I was quite enthusiastic about the grater, but unfortunately it is not very user-friendly. It just takes too long to set up, use and clean that I'd reach for a regular grater anyway, unless I need to grate 100 carrots or cucumbers, but that happens very rarely :) so it's worth the cost anyway not worth it. Too bad because it does look very nice.

According to Kitchenaid, this grater is suitable for hard cheeses, carrots, cucumbers, etc. However, when grating these products, the grater fills up and you always have to switch off the machine to pick the grated product from the grater. What does fall out of grated product, is thrown in all directions by the grater. Even if you have a high, wide collection container underneath, a large part will still end up next to the container. In addition, smaller pieces that you throw in the filling opening end up between the grater and the housing, causing the grater to become stiff or jam. I have tried grating different products but none of them gave a good result.

just a very nice addition to the existing device
