Nicely compact and does not require power from the grid. Didn't know that was possible. I use it as a time machine on my Mac. Goes perfectly.

2.5 disks are ideal to put in. With this 5TB you also get a huge box of storage. Perfect for storing video or photo archives or if you want to take an idiotic amount with you. Keep in mind that you do not use an extremely fast disk, a small 100mb per second read and write on average. With type C you also get rid of having to check every time whether you are trying to insert the USB plug in the right way.
Like all WD drives, the thing also feels solid.

USB 3.2 Gen 1Our digital expert will help you, but it can sometimes make mistakes, like humans do.
According to our external hard drive HDD expert
Easy to take with you: thanks to its compact size, you can easily take this portable HDD anywhere.
Room for large files: the 5-terabyte storage gives you enough room for large files, games, and backups.
Better file security: your sensitive files are better protected with password protection and data encryption.
No USB-C port: this HDD doesn't have a USB-C port, so you'll need an adapter for devices with only USB-C.
Not for daily use: for daily use, you need a faster version.
