A nice lens to have if you want to spend less money than the L version costs.

On Canon R5 and R10 after hours of trying, the lens Autofocus does not work in video mode. the question has been posted to Canon support. Lens is packed, but wait a while to see if Canon support comes up with a solution. (do not expect because on YT there are 2 or 3 reviews of 4 and 8 months old and report this AF problem. Photo mode such as TV or Manual mode, are beautiful and razor sharp photos.

Nice lens. Bright, so nice for taking photos indoors. The sharpness and general quality are very good. I only have L lenses and they are a bit faster. But for portraits that doesn't matter much.

According to our camera lens expert
Bright in dark places: thanks to the large maximum aperture of f/2, you can take bright photos in dark places.
Realistic portraits: with the 85mm focal length, you can take realistic portrait photos without distortion.
Sharp handheld photos: you can take sharp handheld photos at slower shutter speeds thanks to the image stabilization.
Feels a bit heavier: this lens may feel heavy when you use it with a lightweight camera.
