According to our filter coffee machine expert
Thanks to the permanent filter, you no longer have to use paper filters.
You can quickly make 2 to 4 cups of coffee with the special program.
With the timer, you can set when you want the coffee to be ready.
The water tank isn't detachable, so you can't easily refill it.
The Russell Hobbs Buckingham Silver Coffee Machine + Scanpart Permanent Filter allows you to set when your fresh filter coffee should be ready. Wake up to the smell of coffee every morning. Whether you're making coffee for yourself or your group, you can make a pot for 2 to 4 cups of coffee. You can set the program via the display and the indicator lets you know when to refill the water tank. You can use the included permanent coffee filter with each brewing session. When you're done, simply throw the coffee grounds from the filter into the trash can and clean the filter so you can use it again next time. Because it's made of stainless steel, the filter won't rust.

Bought as a (worthy) replacement for the much more expensive Douwe Egberts Mocca Master. It took some getting used to, because this device needs less coffee to make a good cup. This is probably due to the special spray system, which distributes the water evenly over the coffee filter. So the first cup was just as bitter, but after I adjusted the amount of coffee I really don't want anything else!
This machine makes really delicious coffee. I usually brew "4-6" cups (which practically amounts to 2-3, because I like a big cup of coffee) and I'm fine. A single cup also does this device very well, with the special "1-4" setting, which allows the water to drip a little more slowly. That makes the coffee even tastier!
The device is very easy to use and even has a self-cleaning function that automatically descales with a few cups of vinegar and water. If you do that once per pack of coffee filters, you can keep your device nice and clean without too much effort. The removable coffee filter holder can easily be cleaned manually every day.
My only complaint is that the hot plate doesn't stay on for long. This is of course because old coffee is undrinkable, but I find that sometimes I have to rush to finish my 2-3 cups before the coffee gets cold. Sometimes I don't make it and then the lukewarm coffee goes into the microwave for a while (and still tastes great). It's a shame I can't snooze turning off the device. On the other hand, it's nice that you can't forget your coffee, and this function makes the device a lot more economical in power consumption.
All in all, this device is highly recommended, especially for the price! If you want to keep your coffee warm for more than an hour, I recommend buying the variant with a thermos, or pouring the coffee yourself after brewing.

What a nice device. The timer works spot on, in the morning the coffee is ready before I'm downstairs. Makes little noise, the jug doesn't leak (finally a jug that doesn't leak!) and doesn't take ages to get your coffee ready. Especially the 1-4 cup option is perfect.
