You can connect your smartphone to the soundbar via Bluetooth.
An HDMI cable isn't included.
With the Yamaha SR-B20A, you can enjoy 3D Virtual Surround Sound with your television. Audio is reflected to your listening position via the walls, which makes it sound extra realistic. The soundbar has both an HDMI and an optical connector, so you can easily connect the bar to your television. When you want to listen to music, you can simply switch to Bluetooth. This allows to listen to your favorite music wirelessly via your smartphone or tablet. If you want to connect the soundbar via HDMI, you need to purchase an HDMI cable separately.

I like everything about this device, but don't forget to disconnect a device connected by bluetooth before going to sleep. If my sat receiver jumps up at night to record a program , the soundbar starts up automatically and that is annoying . Otherwise very satisfied , does everything for which it is made .

Good value for money for this Yamaha soundbar. HDMI ARC is fine, unfortunately it is the only HDMI port.
Virtual 3D Surround sounds good, but there is more to be gained from this because everything in the chain must be able to transmit the signal properly (the TV, cables, receiver, etc.) and the placement must be perfect (so not right under the TV or objects next to it). ). A matter of fine tuning. Ultimately the right result with various (Switch) games: Sometimes you really wonder where that sound comes from.
Subwoofer is built-in and at 0 position powerful enough to make the cabinets vibrate, it is now set to -5 in the evening to keep the neighbors happy :) The "bass extension" function or a separate sub is certainly not necessary.
The downside is that the voices sound a bit tinny. You can suppress that with "clear voice", but that also immediately affects the ambient noise, etc.
