KEF LS50 META (per pair) White
Great sound, just the right balance of detail and warmth that I was looking for. Especially the highs sound very mild. With many brands in this segment, that sounds too sharp to me. The speakers produce a lot of bass, but that can be regulated by inserting the supplied foam plugs into the bass ports. They are now on my TV cabinet; I think they sound better with the plugs.

I don't miss the subwoofer in my living room (about 5x5). The speakers are placed on a piece of furniture made mainly of oak and this undoubtedly also helps for the low reproduction. The sound is well balanced. They are connected to a Bluesound Powernode 2i.

According to our HiFi speaker expert
Clear treble: thanks to the Metamaterial Absorption Technology, you hear detailed treble with less distortion.
Clear mids: thanks to the offset port, the midrange sounds natural and clear.
Pure tones: thanks to the 2-way speaker crossover, you hear sound where no pitch overpowers the others.
Separate amplifier needed: because it doesn't have a built-in amplifier, you'll need a separate amplifier or receiver.
Not the deepest bass: with a minimum frequency range of 79 hertz, you’ll need a separate subwoofer for the most powerful bass.
