Pros and cons
According to our camera lens expert
Bright in low light: thanks to the maximum f/2.8 aperture, you can take bright photos in low light.
Wide image angle: with the wide 27mm image angle, you can capture sweeping landscapes and architecture.
Silent autofocus: the autofocus motor focuses silently, so you won’t hear distracting noise in your videos.
No image stabilization: this lens doesn't have image stabilization that reduces motion blur.
Description
Take clear photos in low light with the Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR. This camera lens has a maximum aperture of f/2.8. That lets a lot of light into the lens, so you can take bright images. You also get soft background blur in portrait, product, or macro photos. The fixed 27mm focal length provides a wide image angle. This lets you capture landscapes, architecture, or interiors. The quiet autofocus motor prevents distracting noise in your videos. This lens has a Fujifilm X mount for cameras with the same mount and an APS-C image sensor.

- Locking diaphragm ring in A position, why?
I have been using this new lens for a few weeks now. I am impressed with the result that this lens delivers together with the x-t3. Chosen this version for its dust-tight/water-resistant design. Aperture ring and focus ring are small, but easily accessible. New design for the lens hood is not so beautiful, but it is practical. Like the previous model, the front lens element slides out when focusing.

Great addition
- Size and weight
- Sharpness
- Image angle
I'd been eyeing this lens for a while and finally bought it. No regrets; the size and weight are a plus, but the sharpness is also very impressive. The autofocus works perfectly and is faster than expected after what I'd heard and read about it. Definitely recommended.
