Description

The Sony ECM-B1M Shotgun Microphone is a versatile microphone that you can use to improve the sound quality of your videos. The model has digital signal processing, so you can choose from 3 directional recording patterns. These are super-cardioid, cardioid, and omnidirectional. These directional characteristics indicate how sensitive the microphone is to the direction of the sound. For example, you can use cardioid during an interview and omnidirectional when people are moving around during the recording. The 8 separate microphone units have a special algorithm, so they can filter out sound coming from the sides very well. That way, you can make more precise recordings. The compact design makes the microphone easy to take with you when you're filming on location. If you place the microphone on the Multi Interface shoe connector of your Sony camera, you don't need any extra cables. The digital/analog switch makes the microphone suitable for both the new Sony cameras with built-in Digital Audio Interface and for the older models.
