I've had the Arlo Pro 4 IP Camera for a few weeks and was absolutely satisfied. In contrast to its predecessor, you no longer need a base station, so you can use the cameras completely wirelessly.

My first impression was very positive. You feel like you have a quality item in your hands when you open the package. The booklets direct me to the app, which will help me further in the installation. I indicate in the app which WiFi network I use, after which the cameras scan my app with a QR code. The cameras are also directly connected to the internet. 1 camera did not connect at once. After a few tries this worked.

After setup, I easily put the cameras in place, or hang them with the supplied magnetic mounting bracket. In the Arlo app I set the cameras as desired. It took me some time to find my way around this app, but after a few days I know the way to the main functions. This is also the moment when you realize how much you can do with these IP cameras.

This is how I set up smart notifications. I didn't want to receive notifications from random passers-by. I set up the cameras so that he only noticed the area directly in front of my front door, so he didn't record unnecessarily. I also chose the option: recognize package deliverers.
