We chose this machine because of the promise of less noise. Our old (otherwise excellent machine) made a lot of noise, which we found unpleasant in an open kitchen. This one is indeed much quieter. Because we never used the milk section of the old machine, we now opted for a simple one without bells and whistles. The operation is easy, the coffee is hot and tastes good. You can set the volume yourself under the buttons for espresso (small cup) and 'regular coffee' (the large cup). This is then also remembered for the next time. You could also choose two other 'recipes' via the app, Lungo and Barista, but we did not purchase the WiFi dongle. Two cups at the same time is also possible, although in practice that means two times the same thing in a row. It first grinds and makes one cup and immediately afterwards the second.

We did not use the hot water option.
