Had the predecessor solo before this. Bought this without hesitation. Coffee is hot . No fuss . Quieter than its predecessor . Nice and compact. Minus: predecessor had a metal plate on top for cups. Good and affordable machine. Delicious coffee (5 espresso cups per day). I deliberately bought a "simple" fully automatic coffee machine without any additional (milk) options. The brewing unit is removable (not with my old expensive fully automatic coffee machine, which always required expensive repairs). I don't find the noise of making coffee bothersome. Empty the water residue container (drip tray) several times a day (quick and easy). Cleaning and detaching/attaching the brewing unit (once a week) takes 5 to 10 minutes.
