Functionality
Please note: "If the concentration is below 20ppm the LCD will show 0ppm" - so this device will not tell you if your carbon monoxide is 'a little high' (between 2 and 20ppm). So the display isn't really useful outside of real emergencies (whereas "9 ppm (parts-per-million) is the maximum indoor safe carbon monoxide level over 8 hours")

10 years refers to the lifespan... Not the battery!

I hadn't actually planned on getting this detector, but it was recommended when I bought a smoke detector. The explanation on the website convinced me to order it anyway. And thank goodness! A few weeks later the alarm went off. The fire department came by and it turned out there was really carbon monoxide due to a gas leak. Thanks to this detector my dog and I stayed safe :) So glad I bought it!

According to our carbon monoxide detector expert
You can use these detectors for a very long time, because they have a lifespan of 10 years.
The detectors run on batteries, so they're wireless and can be placed anywhere.
The carbon monoxide detectors detect odorless and flavorless carbon monoxide gas.
These detectors don't have an app that keeps you up to date on possible fire hazards.
You can't pair these detectors.
