With the Fellowes Venus A3 I have a laminator with which I can laminate my first document within 30 seconds. I also laminate up to A3 format, which gives me many options. When I am not using the laminator, it makes a buzzing sound.
Fast laminator with good quality
The Venus A3 is known for its speed. What I notice is that the device is warmed up within 30 seconds. This allows me to get started right away. I can laminate an A4 sheet within 10 seconds. This makes it faster than the Fellowes Jupiter A3. Handy if I am laminating a stack of menus, for example. The quality of the laminated documents is also good. The device has 3 options: one for text documents, one for photos and one for a combination of these. This gives me the best results.
Many options
I laminate up to A3 format, which gives me many options. The laminator has various markings for the information, for example A3, A4, menus and photos. This way I know for sure that I am feeding my document correctly. The device also supports many different thicknesses of laminating pouches, from 75 microns up to 250 microns. This also allows me to create sturdier documents, for example for menus. With 250 microns my document is also weatherproof. I also laminate cold with the Venus A3. This is useful for vinyl or thermal paper, which cannot withstand the heat.
Easy to use
The Venus A3 automatically detects the thickness of the laminating pouch I am feeding and applies the best settings accordingly. This makes it very user-friendly. If I do not use the device for 30 minutes, it switches off automatically. It does make a buzzing sound when you are not using it, which I do not like. That is why I switch it off after each use. In addition, the laminator itself indicates when you need to use a cleaning sheet, so that you do not forget to do so. I personally feed in a cleaning sheet every time I finish laminating, this way I always get the best result.
