According to our bike radar expert
With the radar and rear light, you always hit the road safely and know if there are any vehicles behind you.
With ANT+, you can connect your bike navigation and smartphone to the radar rear light at the same time.
The battery lasts up to 16 hours, so you won’t be left without rear light on the bike anytime soon.
The Varia RTL515 Radar Rear Light works best with Garmin 130, 530, 830, and 1030 bike navigation models.
With the Garmin Varia RTL515 Radar Rear Light with Camera, you'll head out on the road prepared and safely. The radar and the camera respond to movement behind you from up to 140m away. You can connect the Garmin Varia to your bike navigation and smartphone via Bluetooth or ANT+. The radar sends alerts about approaching vehicles to the screen of your bike navigation. This way, overtaking cars won't catch you by surprise. The rear light with LED lamp adjusts to the dark, but you can also set it manually. Attach the device to the seatpost of your bike with the included mount. The Garmin Varia is also waterproof. With all functions turned on, the battery lasts up to 6 hours.
