According to our smart light expert
You can set these lamps to 16 million colors and all shades of white light, which makes them ideal for a home cinema of party.
You link the lights to a bridge, after which you can also operate them outdoors and set timers.
Thanks to the rail system, you can play with lighting and easily change the setup.
Without a bridge, you can only control the light indoors and you only control the lighting via Bluetooth.
You can only add Perifo lighting to the rail system, so you can't add it to other Philips Hue lights.
With the Philips Hue Perifo rail system, you can play with lighting in your home. This basic set includes 3 black mounted spot lights, a light bar, and the rail system that you can attach to the ceiling. With Perifo rail lighting, you can choose from different lamps and setups, so you illuminate every room in a special way. This means it's also easy to add extra pendant lamps, mounted spot lights, light tubes, and light bars. This allows you to play around with the layout. These White and Color lights emit all shades of white, and 16 million different colors of light. You control the lights via Bluetooth, or link them to a Hue bridge. Do you want to control the lights outdoors and set fixed routines and timer? Add a bridge. You can control the lights in the app, where you can set the lightning to your own liking.
Note: this is an expansion, so this lamp doesn't work independently.
We already had lamps from Philips Hue with a Hue bridge. And with the extension of Philips Hue Perifo in the kitchen, we have beautiful lamps hanging near the cooking area. And we made the "dumb" switch smart with the Philips Hue Wall Switch Module
