Philips Airstyler BHA530/00

My hair is difficult, if I say so myself. When I curl my hair, it is always straight again within an hour. It's sagging because it's so heavy, even my hairdresser couldn't manage it at my wedding. So I was very curious about this airstyler, does this product actually do what it says it does?

First I tried the straight brush, it goes smoothly through my hair and afterwards my hair is significantly smoother and frizz-free. It remained flexible throughout the day, preventing my hair from tangling. Normally I get this quickly. I experience this as very nice.

However, I think the thermobrush is disastrous, I already expected this. My hair is all tangled in this. If I roll it up half an inch too much, the hair is stuck and I can barely get it loose. This is not due to this product, but I have this with every roller brush.

I was really looking forward to trying the retractable brush pen, you roll it up like a normal roller brush, once rolled up the brush retracts the ends. The first time I found this exciting, assuming that my hair would still be stuck. But nothing is less true! The brush then comes out of my hair very smoothly and leaves beautiful coarse curls! I was genuinely surprised about this. And best of all? At the end of the day I could still see strands in my hair! What a win for this product.

The big disadvantage of this product is the sound. My children still sleep in the morning when I do my hair, but they also sleep when I have showered in the evening and want to do my hair. This is not a problem with this product on the lowest setting, but as soon as it is on the 'care' setting or the hottest setting, the device makes a loud noise. It is clear that it works much better (dries faster, curls stay in place better), but it is not feasible for me to use this at all times. Unfortunately, use is now limited to the weekend. In addition, I notice that the parts are very hot after use, so cooling down before disconnecting anything may be wise.

All in all I am very happy with this product, it does what it says it does. Frizz-free, smooth hair and it even gives my hair curls!

An excellent product for the price. Does what it's supposed to do; blow dry with different heads. Most fan of the round brush. Goes easily through the hair. Just like the square brush. This is not the device for really beautiful curls. Takes a long time and requires a lot of effort. But a light blow-dry in the hair or some bulbs at the end is no problem for this set. The accessories click easily and firmly into place! I like the option of blow-drying cool and warm in this device.

I'm not happy with it at all... I don't recommend it. After purchasing it, I wasn't even allowed to return it! How do I know if something is good if I don't even use it?! Spending a hefty amount on something that's not good enough, and then not being able to return it because the box was opened...
