Razor sharp image
Nice little model
Simple installation.

Out of the box with the app, installation was a breeze. The camera was online in 5 minutes. Created an account in the settings for the connection with the Synology where I store the images. The image is razor sharp, the app is clear.

Disappointing

Cannot assign Static IP

This device is unusable at the moment for me. The camera fails to pair during the initial setup, this was due to the IP address being received by the camera was outside the IP range of the router, hence, I had to configure the router to the IP range the camera IP is being assigned. After which, the setup completed successfully but after 2-3 minutes it gets disconnected and the Tapo App becomes unresponsive. I've tried assigning a static DHCP on the device but after 2-3 minutes it gets an APIPA IP address (169.254.XXX.XXX). I already contacted the customer support, raised the problem in the TP-Link Community and gone through documentation shared through their communication channels but no solution has been found, hence is disappointing. If the issue does not get solved soon then I will return this device. Note that I have a C200, C420 and other Tapo Devices in my network this is the only one that is having network connectivity issues.

If you're looking into building a home security network, think twice before building it with TP-Link devices due to product limitations (which is often not mentioned), inadequate customer support and documentation.
