When it works there is a nice picture etc. but usually the homebase is down in terms of connection which makes it an unreliable and usually not working system. Updates also often cause more problems than they solve. Regret this purchase for this money.

Initially, I purchased a complete set for home security. The system worked well for the first year and year 3/4, but then one of the cameras developed a charging problem. After charging the camera via the USB port (EUFY advice), the connection to the hub was lost. This camera was replaced within the warranty period; however, after a few weeks, the second camera failed. I replaced the camera myself. Last week (June 29, 2026), the third camera failed. The first notification was low battery voltage. After charging via USB, the spotlight alternately turned on and off, but the connection to the Homebase was also lost. There was no way to reconnect the camera to the Homebase (synchronization does not work), so the Homebase could not find the camera.

The Anker EufyCam 3 4-Pack + HomeBase 3 includes 4 cameras that let you monitor different spots indoors or outdoors. You connect these to the HomeBase 3. Compared to other eufy cameras, the EufyCam 3 records in 4K resolution. It also has a solar panel, so you'll need to charge it less often. The EufyCam 3 also has facial recognition. This way, the alarm doesn't go off for familiar faces. It can do this because the HomeBase 3 supports artificial intelligence. This happens locally, not on the eufy servers. The EufyCam also provides color video at night up to 8 meters.
According to our IP camera expert
The camera stores footage locally, so you don't need a cloud subscription or SD card to look at your recorded footage.
The cameras have small solar panels, so you don't need to charge them as often.
The camera has facial recognition, so the alarm isn't triggered by known faces.
If you use the camera when there's not a lot of sunlight, you need to charge the camera every once in a while.
You need to add a hard drive or NAS to expand the 16GB storage capacity, but these aren't included.
